The first quarter of 2023 saw notable trends in the performance of top Gacha games in Latin America. Here’s a breakdown of how the leading apps fared in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users, based on data from Sensor Tower.

8 Ball Pool™ from Miniclip.com started the quarter with high weekly downloads, peaking at around 686K in the first week of January. However, the numbers showed a slight decline, ending at approximately 530K by the last week of March. In terms of weekly revenue, the game saw a steady decrease from $126K at the beginning of January to around $102K by the end of March. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at 8.8M and ending at approximately 8.2M.

Asphalt 8: Airborne by Gameloft showed a fluctuation in weekly downloads, reaching a peak of 268K in late January but dropping to around 153K by the end of March. Weekly revenue saw a decline from $5.5K at the end of December to about $3.4K in the last week of March. Active users also saw a downward trend, from around 548K to 476K over the quarter.

Nintendo’s Mario Kart Tour experienced a similar pattern, with weekly downloads fluctuating but peaking at 295K in early February and dropping to around 170K by the end of March. Weekly revenue saw a slight decline from $41K at the end of December to approximately $28K in the last week of March. Active users remained fairly consistent, starting at 990K and ending at about 856K.

Hero Wars: Alliance from Nexters Global LTD experienced a significant drop in weekly downloads, starting at 558K in the first week of January and ending at around 41K by the last week of March. Weekly revenue also showed fluctuations, peaking at $90K in mid-February but dropping to around $72K by the end of March. Active users decreased steadily from around 606K to approximately 324K over the quarter.

Lastly, Need for Speed No Limits by Electronic Arts saw its weekly downloads peak at 402K in late January, but dropped to around 111K by the end of March. Weekly revenue saw a slight decline from $21K at the end of December to about $14K in the last week of March. Active users also decreased from around 1.3M to approximately 960K over the same period.
